How To Understand The Bible: This course is a basic introduction to the nature and purpose of the Bible and how to understand it. As a background for in-depth Bible study, the course deals with such basic considerations as the nature of the Bible itself, principals of biblical interpretation, how the Bible came to be accepted as authoritative, kinds of literature in the Bible, a history of the bible in English, and the relevance of the Bible to life today.
New Testament Theology This course will examine the biblical, systematic, historical and practical aspects of Theology. This course also studies the basic doctrine of that Testament. The approach is exegetical, seeking to discover what the New Testament actually teaches about the Scriptures, God, man, sin, salvation, the Church, the ordinances, the ministry, the Christian life, the kingdom of God and the ultimate goal of human beings and of history.
The Gospels A study of the life and ministry of Jesus from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. This course also covers the background of the New Testament. Also covers the other writings of the New Testament beyond the Gospels.
History Of Christian Thought This course is a history of Christian thought. It deals with historical facts. It moves chronologically (not logically as in systematic theology). It deals with Christian thought. It is concerned with mainstream Christianity and with views which were generally accepted at a given time or which were preserved and later had a notable effect on Christianity.
Formation For Ministry This course introduces its student of the purpose of ministry and its effectiveness in the community. The student will also study different types of ministries as it pertains to other religions
Basics To Christian Ethics An introduction to Christian ethical issues from a Baptist perspectives, covering ethical systems, theological, philosophical studies and ethical human action.
Basics of Psychology This course is an introduction to psychology. Seek to study the major aspects of psychology as it relates to social development.
Concepts of Sociology This course introduces the Student to the concepts of sociology as it relates to our culture and social structure. |
